Tim Ayers is president of Ayers Associates, a public relations firm in Washington, DC. He formerly served as vice president for communications at the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association where he was the principal media spokesperson for the wireless phone industry during its period of most rapid growth. Previously, Tim was Director of Communications and Director of Marketing for the State of Maryland reporting directly to the Governor.

Since launching Ayers Associates in 2000, clients have included Microsoft, Bechtel Communications, Space Data Corporation, xG Technology, KeenanPR, and the National Senior Citizens Law Center, as well as several start-up technology firms. He has worked as a press secretary, magazine editor, cable television executive, and as director of communications for the national Legal Services Corporation.

Tim is a member of the PRSA-NCC board of directors. He formerly served as chairman of the national Childrens Craniofacial Association. He is a member of the National Press Club and vice chair of the Independent Public Relations Alliance.

His articles have appeared in The New York Times, Student Lawyer Magazine, Journal of American Insurance, Hyde Parker Magazine and many other publications. Tim has been invited to speak at numerous professional development events. In 2005 he won first place in the National Press Clubs fiction writing contest.

Associates ofthe firm include senior writers and editors who are widely published under their own names, and often work as ghostwriters for top executives. Other associates include seasoned public relations professionals, speechwriters, former journalists and government officials.
