Sandra M. Remey, APR is president of Remey Communications and has 20 years of PR success in the Washington, D.C. area.

Prior to launching her firm, Ms. Remey headed PR in the DC office of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Documented by qualitative and quantitative research, Ms. Remeyﾒs PR expertise earned a marked increase in member satisfaction for the Academyﾒs legislative efforts. She also achieved a 20% increase in attendance at itﾒs annual lobby day and a dramatic boost in media coverage.

Before the Academy, Ms. Remey was director of corporate communications and marketing for The WMF Group, a national real estate finance corporation that had just completed an IPO. She developed the companyﾒs first strategic PR plan that helped increase business, customer satisfaction and positive media coverage.

Prior to The WMF Group, Ms. Remey managed PR and internal communications for The Riggs National Bank, where she won awards from the governor and local governments for her community relations campaigns. Ms. Remey began her career at Ogilvy and Mather Worldwide.

Ms. Remey holds an MA in Public Communication and a BS in Journalism. She is listed in several of the prestigious Whoﾒs Who in America publications.
